At Sheridan, we’re always looking for ways to stay ahead of the curve and give publishers the tools they need to make their books stand out. Edge printing and staining continue to grow in popularity, and we’re expanding our capabilities to keep up with demand.

We’ve added multiple new edge printing machines across our facilities—one more at Sheridan Worzalla and new installations at Sheridan Michigan and Sheridan Minnesota. These machines allow us to bring bold, colorful book edges to more customers, especially in the trade market, where unique finishing touches can make a title pop off the shelf.

We’ve also added additional edge staining booths, which offer another way to customize books. While edge staining is popular in the trade market, it’s also widely used by religious publishers who want a more traditional or refined aesthetic for their titles.

Want to see how it all works? We’ve captured videos of both edge printing and edge staining in action at Sheridan—check them out using the links below. And if you’re curious to learn more about these techniques, take a look at our previous article here: Turning Up the Heat with Edge Printing.

At Sheridan, we’re committed to pushing forward, investing in new technology, and responding to what our publishing partners need. As trends evolve, we’ll keep exploring new ways to enhance the beauty and appeal of printed books.
