ASPB Presents on Open Peer Review
Sheridan PubFactory thanks Jennifer Regala of the American Society of Plant Biologists for an informative and engaging presentation on the society’s path to open peer review for The Plant Cell and Plant Direct. At our recent PubForum User Event in Washington, D.C., Jennifer offered valuable perspective to those considering open peer review, and thought-provoking questions with regard to costs, as well as impacts on staff, submissions, and the community at large.
Importantly, ASPB is participating in a pilot program with bioRxiv to back-post all peer review reports for The Plant Cell papers.
Kudos to the American Society for Horticultural Science. Their three journals are transitioning to fully Open Access in January 2020. And, a big thanks to Mike Neff of the American Society for Horticultural Science for participating so capably on our OA panel during our PubForum User Event.
