We are very happy to announce that Akadémiai Kiadó has become part of the Sheridan PubFactory family. Akadémiai Kiadó, founded in 1828 by the Hungarian Academy of Sciences (HAS), is Hungary’s oldest continuously operating publishing house. Their mission is to promote Hungarian and international science. In short, they publish new discoveries in various areas of science to support global information exchange among scientists, and to make scientific results a public property for all who seek valuable and reliable knowledge.
All of their 60+ journals will be launching on the PubFactory platform by the end of 2019.
We were very excited to launch JNCCN―Journal of the Comprehensive Cancer Network with Harborside on the 28th of February. JNCCN provides the latest information about best clinical practices, health services research, and translational medicine. JNCCN features updates on the NCCN Clinical Practice Guidelines in Oncology®, (solicited) review articles elaborating on guideline recommendations, health services research, and case reports highlighting molecular insights in patient care. To celebrate the launch, all content is currently free. It will go back behind a paywall in the next few months. You can check it out here: https://jnccn.org/
PubFactory’s Tom Beyer, Director of Platform Services, has been asked to join a newly formed NISO Platform Migration Working Group that will be concentrating on best practices around platform migrations. The group will likely concentrate on producing a document much like the existing Transfer Code of Practice that was developed for journals transitioning from one publisher to another.
It is great that PubFactory has become recognized as one of the prominent hosting platforms, and speaks to the fact that the industry has noticed the caliber of clients utilizing the platform.
