Job Summary:
The Offset Platemaker is responsible for overseeing the plate-making process, including but not limited to, creating plates, troubleshooting issues, inspecting for quality and working with internal customers to support the printing process.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Shooting and bending plates for presses
- Maintain platemaking equipment
- Troubleshoot equipment and process issues as they arise
- Check plates for Quality
- Track or move job components through production
- Other duties as assigned by department lead
Basic Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED (Equivalent training and experience would be adequate)
- 1-3 months manufacturing experience
- Basic Mechanical skills
- Basic Computer skills
- Microsoft Office
- Work schedules necessary to meet the production needs – shifts may vary. Overtime as required
- Ability to read, comprehend and write instructions, correspondence, and present information when necessary
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in units of measure
- Self-motivated with strong problem-solving abilities
