Hanover, PA – Sheridan will provide printing services for the Society for Scholarly Publishing’s (SSP) membership and information resources. Sheridan responded to SSP’s Request for Proposal for in-kind printing services in exchange for various sponsorship benefits. Sheridan was selected for their team-based customer experience, on-time delivery, and stringent quality requirements. The materials will be printed in their Hanover, Pennsylvania facility which offers high-quality print production; offset, digital and print-on-demand capabilities; and provides exceptional customer service.
Printed materials are still critically important to SSP for communicating the benefits of membership as well as resources for pursuing a career in scholarly communications. For 2017 Sheridan will produce a membership postcard, membership brochure and an informational pamphlet highlighting the careers available in scholarly communications.
“Sheridan has been a loyal supporter and sponsor of SSP for many years. We sincerely appreciate their support and are eager to work with Sheridan for the production of our member recruitment materials,” said Melanie Dolechek, SSP Executive Director. “SSP’s future is dependent on reaching out to and engaging the next generation of scholarly publishing professionals. High-quality materials will help us positon SSP as the place where professionals can connect with people, resources, and content for their professional and organizational advancement.”
“We are gratified to support SSP in this way,” commented Paul Bozuwa, Chief Sales Officer at Sheridan. We find the value that this organization continues to bring to us and to our STM publishers to be immeasurable. We’re pleased to have been selected.”
About the Society for Scholarly Publishing
The Society for Scholarly Publishing (SSP), founded in 1978, is a nonprofit organization formed to promote and advance communication among all sectors of the scholarly publication community through networking, information dissemination, and facilitation of new developments in the field. SSP members represent all aspects of scholarly publishing — including publishers, printers, e-products developers, technical service providers, librarians, and editors. SSP members come from a wide range of large and small commercial and nonprofit organizations. They meet at SSP’s annual meetings, educational seminars, and Librarian Focus Groups to hear the latest trends from respected colleagues and to discuss common and mutual (and sometimes divergent) goals and viewpoints.
