About The MIT Press
The MIT Press is a mission-driven, nonprofit university press devoted to the widest dissemination of its content. It was founded in 1962, and formed its Journals division a decade later by launching its first two quarterlies, The Journal of Interdisciplinary History and Linguistic Inquiry (both titles still a part of its program). Today, the MIT Press publishes over thirty journals in a variety of disciplines, including science and technology, the arts and humanities, economics, international affairs, history, and political science. Its growing open access program, with three new journals launching in 2017, reflects the Press’s commitment to both exploring new publishing technologies and expanding its global reach.
