RGB Workflow

RGB Workflow - Books, Journals, Magazines, Catalogs, Article Reprints | The Sheridan Group

Take your images to a whole new level of vibrancy and quality!

Online journal content can support a wider range of colors than traditional CMYK printing. At Dartmouth Journal Services, our customers can have the best of both worlds.

The process starts by allowing authors to submit RGB images for journal articles.  This makes life easier for them because almost all images captured on any scientific device or camera will appear in RGB color. Using color management techniques honed over years of experience, we use the full gamut of RGB colors throughout the composition process and only convert images to CMYK for proofing and final print files. The colors that appear online ( and in the author's eProof) exactly match what the author captured and submitted. Meanwhile, our consistent, repeatable, and color-managed conversion processes will ensure the best possible CMYK conversion so that the printed product is of the highest quality possible.
